Yvoire fillers in a nutshell
Yvoire is a range of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers made for addressing aesthetic issues related to skin aging, such as wrinkles, loss of definition and volume due to skin laxity, and dehydration. The brand encompasses a wide selection of products, each formulated to target a specific set of concerns or a particular area of the face: Hydro, Classic S, Volume, and Contour. Furthermore, some fillers contain lidocaine for added comfort during the procedure.
These products are designed with safety and efficacy in mind. The high concentration of hyaluronic acid particles present in these fillers provides instantly noticeable effects that are very natural looking. The results speak for themselves—skin is visibly lifted, smoother, and enhanced from the inside out.
What type of patients should you use them on?
Men and women who are displaying signs of skin aging (e.g. wrinkles, minor skin sagging, pigmentation, sunken or hollow cheeks) or who want to address cosmetic concerns such as redefining facial contours or the lips will benefit greatly from these fillers.
Do not recommend this treatment to patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or children under the age of 18.
What are the target Areas Treated With Yvoire?
- Marionette lines and nasolabial folds, or “laugh lines” – Volume and Contour work to correct the appearance of deep-set wrinkles and folds.
- Facial contours – Use Contour to tighten and redefine the facial contours. As well, saggy skin is lifted, for a more youthful look.
- Lips – The plumping effect of Volume and Contour can reshape and augment the lips.
- Sunken eyes or cheeks – The volumizing properties of Yvoire can be utilized to great effect in these areas, adding volume and restoring vitality.
How does it Work?
Yvoire products contain hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a natural occurring substance in the human body, and is a key factor of water retention in the skin. As people age, the epidermis layer of the skin loses hyaluronic acid molecules, leading to a loss of skin moisture. This causes the effects typically associated with aging, like wrinkles, dryness, and loss of elasticity.
As a gel made of pure cross-linked hyaluronic acid, these fillers serve to replenish the skin with water-retaining molecules. These molecules work to fill the area under the skin, making it firmer and smoother.
The products from the Yvoire range differ in hyaluronic acid particle size, and are used to treat different areas of the face. For instance, treatment of sunken cheeks and deep lines in the forehead require a product with larger particle size, such as Volume or Contour. For more sensitive areas of the face, such as the under-eye area or fine wrinkles, the use of Classic S will have the best effect.
For the patient’s comfort, some formulations are combined with a mild anesthetic.
How tu use
Before and after the procedure, it is advisable for patients to avoid alcohol, and to refrain from taking aspirin and certain vitamins.
Treatment with these cosmetic fillers involves injection of the filler gel into the skin. This procedure should only be performed by a trained and licensed medical practitioner. To perform this procedure, the area to be treated is disinfected thoroughly. Then, the filler is injected into the target site using the appropriate injection method. A mild anesthetic may be applied to the area prior to treatment, if necessary.
After the procedure, it is recommended that patients refrain from wearing makeup for 12 hours after receiving the injection.
How long will it take your patients to recover?
There is almost no recovery time needed for this procedure; patients can expect to continue their daily routine as soon as they leave your office.
How long do the effects of Yvoire fillers last?
Your patients will be able to reap the benefits of Yvoire fillers for approximately 6 months up to a year, after which they get completely absorbed by the surround tissues. The duration depends on a number of factors, including the individual’s metabolism, quantity of injection, and area treated.
