Everything published on Medical Spa Rx, whether that is product pages, category pages, or buying guides, passes through the same small group of people. We do not work with a rotating pool of freelancers or a single generalist writer covering everything. Here is the structure of our team, and what they bring to the table.
Our team’s background
Between three writers and one dedicated editor, our team has experience in:
- Pharmacology
- Medical and scientific writing
Being part of Medical Spa Rx for many years, our editorial team has covered a consistent branch of medicine and medical products, following industry developments and a large corpus of relevant literature.
What they actually do
- Research first. Before a word gets written, someone’s checked the regulatory filing, the manufacturer datasheet, or the published study behind it.
- Write for the reader who already knows the basics. Our audience is licensed, so our content reflects their level of expertise, assuming familiarity with industry-related, medical jargon.
- Flag anything sourcing-related. Claims about where a product comes from or how it’s imported get routed to the people who can actually confirm them.
- Keep old pages honest. A page written two years ago gets revisited when the regulatory picture, the formulation, or the evidence behind it changes.
While the writers collaborate with a content manager, as to more accurately cover the needs of our audience, the editor steps in later, only as a reviewer, after the draft has been completed. This ensures a two-pronged process, described in our page on editorial guidelines.
On certain pages, such as our more prominent category pages and brand hubs, we collaborate with third-party medical reviewers who carefully read every line and provide detailed comments for improvement or change. If you happen to browse these pages, you will notice a disclaimer that the page has been reviewed by a Medically trained person, with their full name, title, and byline displayed.
What content gets written
For product pages: The product specifications arrive directly from manufacturer’s documentation, but our editorial team performs independent checks and places them within context of use cases and relevant clinical claims.
For category or brand hubs: The editorial team provides full informational coverage of brands and product categories, and contextualizes them with references to specific conditions, application areas, and broader areas of clinical practice. These include pages on dermal fillers, mesotherapy, orthopedic injections, and brands such as RADIESSE®, RESTYLANE®, JUVÉDERM® and others.
For informational articles: Our blog section features resources for which our editorial team is responsible in full. They aim to produce content of relevance to our clients, whether these are solo-practitioners or small to mid-sized clinics. All content is for informational purposes and aimed at the level of expertise and industry familiarity that is associated with our audience. They write about comparisons and industry news, covering the aesthetic medicine sector.
How This Connects to Our Editorial Guidelines
The day-to-day process, on how a brief becomes a draft, how claims get verified, or how corrections are handled, all live on our Editorial policy page.
