Other information

PRX-T33 is a breakthrough bio-revitalizing treatment by Italy’s WiQO Med, designed to improve skin texture, reduce skin aging, and deliver a radiant PRX glow—all without peeling. This prx professional formula combines TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to firm and rejuvenate skin through non-invasive dermal stimulation. Pre-treatment with PRX P-Solution enhances delivery and results.

What Is PRX-T33 Used For?

PRX-T33 contains 33% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as an active ingredient, which stimulates fibroblast growth without damaging the epidermis.
The peel works by penetrating deep into the skin and acting on the basal layer, stimulating it to regenerate and renew. This improves scars, blemishes, and toughened skin without harming the epidermis. Unlike regular skin peels, treatment with PRX-T33 can be performed at any time of the year since it is not photo-sensitizing.
PRX-T33 is recommended for patients who want to:

  • Strengthen the radiance and brightness of facial skin
  • Treat dilated pores
  • Plump the skin
  • Revitalize the skin of the neckline
  • Mitigate recent depressed scars (acne, chicken pox scars, varicella or impetigo scars, superficial traumatic scars, post-surgical, or melasma)
  • Improve skin hydration
  • Reduce stretch marks
  • Improve the aesthetic appearance of the hands

It is suitable for all skin types and is often recommended to complement laser and radio-frequency treatments to optimize results. You can also combine it with an anti-aging injection protocol, such as hyaluronic acid injections or tensor threads.

How Long Does PRX-T33 Last?

A single treatment with PRX-T33® typically lasts for three to four weeks. The treatment is administered in a series of sessions—after the last treatment, the effects can last for about six to twelve months.
To prolong the results of PRX-T33 treatment, many patients reschedule maintenance treatments every six months to a year.

PRX-T33 Administration Technique

A typical PRX-T33 treatment procedure takes about 30 minutes per session. Here is how PRX-T33 is administered:

  • Before the procedure, the patient’s face is cleansed with a light cleanser, ensuring it is free of makeup, lotions, and dirt.
  • Next, the practitioner applies 2 ml of PRX-T33 to the face and hands, or 1.5-2 ml to the décolleté area.
  • You then massage the product onto the areas of treatment. Around two to five layers typically are applied.
  • Finally, a heavy moisturizer is massaged onto the skin with light movements until fully absorbed. The treatment is finished by applying SPF 50 cream over all treated areas.

Patients typically receive four to six treatments before achieving the desired results. Treatments are scheduled at least 14 days apart and maintenance or “touch-up” procedures may be performed every 6 to 12 months.

PRX-T33 Contraindications

PRX-T33 is contraindicated in patients who:

  • Are prone to seborrheic dermatitis or rash
  • Have damage to the facial skin, including fresh wounds and pustules
  • Have highly sensitive and irritable skin
  • Have an infectious disease, especially if accompanied by cutaneous manifestations (such as herpes)
  • Are allergic to kojic acid (risk of itching) and latex
  • Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have connective tissue disease
  • Have a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars or keloid
  • Have skin cancer (or are undergoing radiation therapy)
  • Are on long-term steroid therapy

PRX-T33 Side Effects

Treatment with PRX-T33 has very little downtime, meaning patients can resume their day-to-day activities quickly.
However, like all peels, PRX-T33 may cause side effects. Most are mild and disappear within the first week of treatment.
Common side effects of the PRX-T33 bio-revitalization peel include:

  • Temporary redness and irritation after treatment
  • Slightly warm and inflamed skin
  • Mild swelling of treated regions
  • Peeling or flaking of treated skin
  • Minor itching or tingling sensation
  • Hyper-pigmentation or hypo-pigmentation

Rare side effects include skin infections and a severe allergic reaction. To reduce the risk of adverse side effects, order PRX-T33 online from a licensed distributor and administer it using the proper technique.

PRX-T33 vs the Competition

Salicylic acid peels are a common competitor to PRX-T33.
Salicylic acid peels are considered the most gentle of chemical peels. They break down the bonds between upper-layer skin cells, allowing them to shed. On the other hand, PRX-T33 penetrates deeper into the skin, acting on the basal layer.
In addition, salicylic acid is incredibly potent when used to treat acne. PRX-T33 is also an effective treatment for acne scars but has a broader application. It helps treat all types of depressed scars, pores, and stretch marks and boosts skin hydration.
